Come and learn about the Japanese ink wash painting technique, called Suibokuga, in this beginner-friendly class. Originally from China, this technique of painting only with ink and water was introduced to Japan in the 14th century, where it developed its own unique technique.
Explore the different techniques of Suibokuga and create an original painting on Japanese paper that you can take home as a souvenir. While our instructor may not be able to speak English, she is very passionate about teaching you the wonderful art of ink painting through her positive attitude.
We recommend arriving from Nippori station with a bit of time to spare so that you can stroll around the nearby streets and enjoy the nearby temple and the various shops that are available.
