What can you learn from Origami workshop? #3

History of Origami

“Ori” means folding and “Gami” means paper. So, “Origam” in english is  the art of folding pater.
Paper was brought from China around 6th century. Handmade paper was a luxury item only available to few, and paper folding in ancient Japan was strictly for ceremonial purposes, often religious in nature then.
 
By the Edo period, making paper plentifully available and inspiring recreational forms of origami and Origami has became popular in nationwide.
 
 

About our class

Origami is the traditional entertainment and art of paper folding from Japan.
Nowadays you can access hundreds of cool Origami instructions on YouTube and websites.
 
But as kids we Japanese start origami first with our mothers, siblings, kindergarten teachers etc..  
You need to have someone next to you to learn it.
 
At Origami with us, we try our best to offer this original learning experience, despite we are all remote. 
We don’t only teach skills but also tell history of Origami and help you have a cultural connections with Japan. 
 
Our strength is easy-to-follow instructions in fun and relaxing atmosphere to get participants engaged. 
We also value flexibility to accommodate our clients’ wishes as best as possible.
