Visit Japanese gardens and make your own mini Japanese garden, together with Ayumi Ikushima, the guide and author of “Important People and Japanese Gardens”, as well as a certified garden designer. Explore temple gardens created in the early Muromachi and Edo periods. Learn about Japanese garden philosophy, understand the art of garden designs and what they represent.
Before joining the mini garden making experience, explore the Konchi-in Temple Garden, a dry landscape garden, also known as the Crane and Turtle Garden. Here you will learn the basics of Japanese garden philosophy. Followed by a visit to Tenjuan Garden, a garden that is a miniature landscape of nature. Learn new ways to appreciate the garden, such as how to take photographs. In the East Garden, with its beautiful white sand and moss, appreciate a well-designed karesansui (dry landscape garden). Make a stop at Nanzenji Sammon Gate and discover how Zen Buddhism developed and how it has influenced Japanese culture.
After learning more about Japanese gardens create your own miniature Japanese garden decoration. Draw sand patterns and think about stone placement. Put your new knowledge of Japanese gardens to use by creating your own!

The costs of taking a Kyudo lesson are usually very high. In this class, all the necessary equipment for Kyudo is prepared for you. All you need is passion and comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely!
In this beginner-friendly experience, learn the practice of Kyudo. This includes learning about the proper form, as well as the tools and techniques used. Explore the history of Kyudo and gain a better understanding of this traditional martial art.
