Explore around 230 boathouses lining the coast of Ine Bay, some of which date back about 400 years to the early Edo period. These boathouses, traditionally used as garages for boats, stand as a testament to the town’s rich maritime heritage.
Experience the extraordinary beauty of Amanohashidate, designated as a place of special scenic beauty, and one of Japan’s three most celebrated scenic sights alongside Matsushima and Miyajima. Amanohashidate, with its white sands and green pines, attracts over two million tourists annually from all over the country. Dive into the fascinating origin stories of Amanohashidate, where legends say it was a ladder connecting the heavens and the earth.
Wander through a village where many thatched-roofed houses. Built 150 to 220 years ago during the Edo and Meiji periods, they are still wonderfully preserved. Out of about 50 houses, 39 maintain their traditional thatched roofs. The village, highly praised for preserving historical landscapes and traditional architectural techniques, has been designated an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Community organizations actively participate in maintaining the historical ambiance and supporting residents’ lives.

The costs of taking a Kyudo lesson are usually very high. In this class, all the necessary equipment for Kyudo is prepared for you. All you need is passion and comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely!
In this beginner-friendly experience, learn the practice of Kyudo. This includes learning about the proper form, as well as the tools and techniques used. Explore the history of Kyudo and gain a better understanding of this traditional martial art.

10 minutes on foot from JR Tambaguchi/Hankyu Omiya/Randen Shijo-Omiya station. If you come by taxi, please tell the taxi driver “Mibugawa-street, Takatsuji-street” instead of the address.
To reduce unnecessary waste we recommend you bring your water bottles. It’s for free to fill them up. We have a filtered drinking water dispenser by the reception. You can get fresh water before and after the tour, so you don’t need to buy any plastic bottles. We would appreciate your cooperation to reduce unnecessary plastic use.
